№ 002 — Thesis

Off-market isn't a mailing list.

Most South African "off-market" property lists are a group chat with 400 agents, 70 brokers and no one checking anything. By the time a deal reaches an investor it's already been shopped, marked up, or misrepresented three times over.

Plotline runs the opposite way. Agents submit one listing at a time, with a required distress reason and comparable pricing. A human reviews it. Only then does it show up in the investor feed — with an AI summary that flags what still needs verifying, never what to buy.

We're a pilot, not a platform yet. One city. One admin. Real deals.

How a deal moves.

Four steps between an agent's kitchen-table conversation and an investor's inbox.

    Agent submits

    Address, price, photos, and — required — the reason it's below market. Deceased estate, divorce, distressed sale, motivated seller.

    Human review

    A person reads every listing. Comparable pricing is sanity-checked before anything goes live to investors.

  3. 03

    AI adds context

    A neutral summary of indicative yield range, comparable price context, and things the investor should verify independently.

  4. 04

    Investor decides

    Filtered feed matched to your thesis — suburbs, budget, strategy. Contact the agent directly. We don't take a cut.
